Your questions, answered.

A clear starting point for choosing your programme.

Do I need previous experience?

No previous massage qualification is required for Level 1. It is designed for beginners, career switchers and practitioners seeking a structured foundation.

What are the training hours?

Level 1 runs over two consecutive weeks, Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., across 10 training days.

Is training practical?

Every day combines theory, trainer demonstration, supervised practice, individual correction, repetition and skills checks.

How is assessment done?

Daily skills checks contribute 20%, written theory and safety 25%, final practical examination 45%, and professional conduct, records and reflection 10%.

Is the certificate automatic?

No. Certification depends on attendance, conduct, assessment and administrative requirements. Safety concerns must be resolved before certification.

Can I diagnose or treat medical conditions?

Level 1 is foundation wellness training. It does not qualify students to diagnose, prescribe, claim to cure disease or practise medicine.

What are the fees and payment options?

Ask admissions for the confirmed fee, deposit, balance schedule and payment channel for your intake. Review refund, transfer and resit terms before paying.

What is Level 2?

A progression route for learners with SMTC Level 1 or an equivalent foundation, subject to evidence and trainer review. It covers advanced sports massage and recovery within professional scope.

What is CPD?

Continuing Professional Development: focused masterclasses with topic-specific entry requirements, dates, fees and learning outcomes.

What is RPL?

Recognition of Prior Learning reviews existing training and experience. It may lead to assessment, gap training or a progression recommendation; it does not guarantee certification.
